We’re Katie and Karlie: sisters-in-law, sisters in Christ, and partners here at Little Flower Design Co.
Katie started the business in 2020 with the intention of using her crafting abilities and her stubborn I-can-make-that attitude to bring simple, handmade joys to more than just family and friends. Karlie joined the team in 2022 and instantly brought new skills, accountability, and creativity to Little Flower. Katie focuses on graphic design, paper goods, and hand embroidery, while Karlie works wonders with the wood burner.
Our business is grounded in our Catholic values because without God, we wouldn’t have these talents or any way to share them with others. We put Him first in everything we do, but we’re also inspired by the world around us, finding beauty and wonder in our everyday routines. Oh, and if you couldn't tell, we absolutely LOVE flowers. (Psst… Katie’s favorites include tulips, ranunculus, and sunflowers, while Karlie's favorite are roses).
A few other fast facts:
During the week, Katie works for her family’s business selling welding, safety, and industrial supplies. She loves traveling, gardening and homemaking, listening to classic rock, competing in triathlons, skiing, and trying new recipes. Oh, and if all of that wasn’t enough, she and her husband, Sean (whom she met in the church youth band during high school), juggle all of this with a three-year-old and 10-month-old in tow.
Karlie’s faith life blossomed in college at the Catholic Newman Center of West Chester University. She also attended Gallaudet University for her master’s degree and is fluent in American Sign Language. She works in the medical field as a speech-language pathologist. In her free time, Karlie enjoys hiking, oldies music (we’re talking Frank Sinatra), long drives to nowhere, and spending time with her husband, Kyle (who happens to be Katie’s brother-in-law… Coincidence? Certainly not!)
At the end of the day, we hope you find a “little” craft that you love.
